Obituary for Frances E. Kowalski

Frances E. Kowalski, 91, of Tekonsha, passed away Friday, October 6, 2017 at the Community Health Center of Branch County.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, October 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Coldwater with Very Reverend Mark J. Vyverman, V.F. officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Girard. Visitation will be Sunday, October 8, 2017 from 4-8:00 PM, with the rosary to begin at 7:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater.
Frances was born December 6, 1925 in Fort Wayne, IN to Joseph & Marie (Deck) Seiler. She graduated from Bronson High School and married Edwin F. Kowalski on April 30, 1945 in Bronson. Together they celebrated 59 years of marriage. He preceded her in death December 23, 2004. Fran resided at Masonville Place for the past 4 years.
Mrs. Kowalski was a dedicated wife, mother and homemaker who worked for many years in banking and office management. She partnered with her husband and actively worked alongside him, running their family farm for many years. Fran was also very proud to have raised her family on the farm.
Fran was a member of St. Charles Church. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and canning and loved to fish. Fran was an avid Detroit Tigers fan and enjoyed casino visits with close friends and her sisters. She enjoyed dancing and card playing, but most of all spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
Fran is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law Kandith (Jerry) Martinson, Gretchen (David) Stefanski all of Tekonsha, Mary (Greg) Zenczak of Brecksville, OH, Evett Moynihan of Broadview Heights, OH, her sisters Joan Yesh of Bronson, Marrietta (Art) Roushkolb of Las Vegas, NV, Jackie (Elmer) Houghton of Wayland, her grandchildren David (Tracy) Martinson, Daniel (Jennifer) Martinson, Matthew (Shawn) Stefanski, Emily (Jeffrey) Chockley, Katherine (Brett) Lupson, Michelle (Jeremy) Dunnaback, Anna (Brian) Egan, Maureen Moynihan and 17 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her sister Dolores Ludwick and brothers Joe and John Seiler.
