Dorothy Olive Buckley, 90, of Coldwater, passed away on Thursday, March 14, 2019 at Advantage Living in Battle Creek.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Mark Case officiating. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM prior to the memorial service at the funeral home.
Dorothy was born on September 1, 1928 to Homer and Mina Jean (Corliss) Hansen in Seattle, Washington. She married Jim Buckley on February 20, 1947 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2009.
She was a longtime seamstress making custom drapes at Branch’s in Coldwater. Dorothy enjoyed sewing, crafts, cooking and especially being with her family.
Dorothy is survived by her children; Steven F. Buckley of Coldwater, Gerald A. Buckley of Sylva, North Carolina, Douglas G. (Angelina) Buckley of Westbrook, Minnesota, Dale (Rob) Janusch of Beulah, Michigan and Ginger K. (Bill) Acock of Coldwater; her 13 grandchildren, many great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren; her sister, Barbara Hutchins of Lakeport, California. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William, her son; James C. Buckley, her brother; David Hansen and her sisters; Gail Fritz and Joan Carrier and her Aunt Peggy Kennedy.
