John L. Turner, Jr., 28, of Coldwater passed away Monday, October 1, 2018 at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 5, 2018 at 1:00 PM at Dutcher Funeral Home in Coldwater with Pastor Don Mason of the First Congregational Church of Union City officiating. Visitation will be held prior to the service beginning at 11:00 AM until the time of the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery.
John was born December 24, 1989 in Trenton, Michigan to John & Cindy (Reed) Turner, Sr. He graduated from Camden Frontier High School in 2009 and married Crystal Duncan on October 9, 2010 in Hillsdale.
John worked at ProMedica Coldwater Regional Hospital as an EKG Technician for the past 6 years. He was a member of the Ham Radio – Hillsdale Club and was an avid Beatles music, U of M football, Wii and video game fan. He liked cars, especially Mustangs. John, being a strong Republican, enjoyed debating with family and friends. He was passionate, an extrovert, and compassionate. His true joy in life was being a great husband, father, son, and brother.
In addition to his wife Crystal, John is survived by his son John Turner, III, his parents John & Cindy Turner of Reading, his sister Emily Turner of Sterling, MI, his grandparents Kathryn Turner, his grandfather Larry Brown, his best friend Manuel-Manick “Manny”, and many aunts, uncles & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Ruby Gail Townsend and Robert Eugene Reed, his uncles Jim Brock and Milton Bowers.
